Javier (Javi) Fernández is a Spanish comic book artist known worldwide for his work as a cover artist and regular writer on many of DC Comics' most important titles, such as Batman, as well as being the main writer of King Spawn (#1 selling book of 2021 in the American market).

His first professional work came in 2010 with several titles for Kickstart Comics. Just one year later he signed with Marvel Comics, where he started his astronomical career with Captain America.

He also worked on a series of Magneto issues in 2014. Since 2011 Javi Fernandez has been a regular on many successful DC Comics titles such as Batman, Nightwing, Detective Comics, Justice League, Green Arrow and many more.

In 2021, he began working as lead artist on King Spawn, one of Todd McFarlane's expanded Spawn Universe titles, published by Planeta in Spain. Currently Javi Fernández is the regular artist on the Batman & Robin series alongside Phillip Kennedy Johnson for DC Comics.
