Miguel Vila was born in 1993 in Padua, where he still lives. He studied comics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna while publishing his work in fanzines and self-published magazines.

In 2020 he made a name for himself with Padualand, his first book, a particular chorus of characters that won awards in Lucca and Treviso. Two years later, his talent for intimate details and anthropological portraits would be confirmed with Dulce de leche, which won the Best Comic of the Year award at Comicon Napoli 2022 and was nominated for Best Foreign Work at Comic Barcelona 2023.

Comfortless, his latest work, is the last chapter of the so-called Northeast Trilogy that he wrote together with the previous chapters. In between, he published Fortaleza volante (Flying Fortress), in collaboration with Lorenzo Palloni, which won the award for Best Screenplay at Comicon Napoli 2024.
