Liv Strömquist (Lund, Sweden. 1978)

She is one of the most highly regarded strip cartoonists in Sweden, as well as being a popular commentator on radio and television. After graduating in Political Science, she began in the world of comics with Hundra procent fett (2005), followed by, among others, Einsteins fru (2008), Prins Charles Känsla (2010), Ja till Liv (2011) and El fruto prohibido (Reservoir Books), originally published in 2014. Liv Strömquist is an ardent activist in feminist and political asylum issues. She often writes articles in widely read publications like Trade New, Ordfront Magazine, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter. In 2016 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Malmö. She currently works for the Swedish Arts Council.
