Tillie Walden (Texas, USA. 1996)

Tillie Walden made her debut at 19 with the graphic novel The End of Summer, which won her the first of her two Ignatz awards. Two graphic novels were to follow (I Love This Part and A City Inside) as well as a webcomic (On a Sunbeam).

In 2017 she published Piruetas,(Spinning) through Ediciones La Cúpula, an emotional and compelling graphic memoir in which she uses her 12 years as a professional ice-skater as the thread to take us through the difficult adolescent years haunted by discipline, loneliness, bullying and searching for her own identity.
