Dave McKean (Berkshire, England. 1963)
Dave McKean has illustrated numerous award-winning books and graphic novels, including Black Orchid and Arkham Asylum. He has also done illustrations and design for all the covers of the famous Sandman series by Neil Gaiman. He wrote and illustrated Cages, which won the Harvey, Ignatz, International Alph-Art and La Pantera awards. He has created hundreds of covers for CDs, books and comics, and advertising campaigns for companies worldwide. He lives in South East England, where Paul Nash, the leading character of one of his latest transmedia projects, Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash, lived and painted.
