Ralf König began freehand drawing in the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf and soon after became the most famous comic artist in the gay world, which at that time still had a lot to fight for. In 1987 he triumphed with the title The Most Desired Man (Der bewegte Mann) which made him well known to a much wider audience.
Currently regarded as one of the best cartoonists in Europe, his comics have been used as a basis for film adaptations and plays, and he has received numerous awards as best German and international comic creator in several comic fairs (including the prize for Barcelona Comic Fair’s Best Foreign Work for The Killer Condom Kondom des Grauens in 1992). At the 36 Barcelona International Comic Fair the German author will present Pitopausia. Otoño en los pantalones, (Herbst in der Hose) his latest graphic novel.
