Is a notorious artist in her country for her comic strips that brim with frankness and with a distinct autobiographical nature.

In 2009 she won the prestigious Stripschapprijs for her work. In addition to working for newspapers and magazines, she has published ten books. Vincent (Salamandra Graphic, 2017) is her most international creation and has been translated into fifteen languages, making it the most internationally distributed graphic novel in The Netherlands.

Following the success of this first graphic biography, the author publishes The Philosopher, the Dog and the Wedding (Salamandra Graphic, 2023).
