The exhibition Blacksad: a Version between Shadows is a tribute to the first album of the work of Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido on the 25th anniversary of its original publication.

The concept of covers or versions is very common in the field of music; one author showing the personal vision of the theme of another author, but in the world of comics this is not as common. But, as in music, the version/cover is an essential learning method for the beginning cartoonist.

Thus, 46 students from the Joso School each drew a page from the album, respecting the script but with total independence in the layout and graphic interpretation.

The result is reminiscent of an exquisite corpse, a reading full of surprises and, at the same time, an invitation to reread and enjoy the original work of Canales and Guarnido.
