Animation welcomes the most refreshing projects in today's audiovisual media. Our country is experiencing a spectacular moment in this field, creatively speaking. Proof of this moment is the proliferation of projects that seek to be popular for the general public, but also manage to appear at prestigious festivals without losing the author's label. Personal, original and suggestive proposals that appeal to young and old alike. Fortunately, the audience for animated films is growing thanks to the tenacity of storytellers who have opted for a different way of expressing themselves.
The interaction between comics and cinema is evident in both animated and in live-action films. This year, the Comic Barcelona cinema will host a film that won two Goyas and was nominated for an Oscar: Robot Dreams, based on the comic book by Sara Varon. There will also be a special screening of the film adaptation of The House, based on the comic book by Paco Roca, with a real-life cast. An exhibition at the doors of the Auditori will show some images from the making of these successful films, with sketches, storyboard, character creation, art direction...
