Rut Pedreño (1996, Valladolid) is an illustrator and comic book author.

She graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2018. Since then she has collaborated on projects as an independent artist, and although her work is focused on comics and publications, she tries to explore different formats and media such as mural, animation, desktop publishing or exhibition.

Her work is characterized by the vivid treatment of color and its poetic use to delve into the feelings of the characters.

In 2022 she received the prize for the best comic book for children and young adults at the Barcelona Comic Book Fair for Nicoleta y el misterio del colmillo (Nicoleta and the Mystery of the Fang ), which she co-wrote with Katia Klein.
