Inés Galiano (Murcia, 1992), studied Translation and Interpreting in Murcia, Audiovisual Communication in Tennessee, and Film Directing at ESCAC.
She has worked in television at Daytime Tri-Cities as a production assistant and in the press as an editor at the bilingual newspaper El Nuevo Tennesseean.
As a filmmaker, her short film Frames received the award for Best Opera Prima at the Premios Latino Festival in Malaga (2016). She has also written and directed the play Sonríe, que estás más guapa (2019 – Smile, You Look Prettier). As a writer, she has self-published the science fiction novel Los límites del bosque (The Limits of the Forest), and the works of suspense ¿Quién mató a Shara Marst? (Who Killed Shara Marst?), 30 días (30 Days) and Partida (Departure). She delves into the fantasy genre with her latest novels, La luna de Gathelic (2021 - The Gathelic Moon), Susanna Blue (2022) and Cenizas (2022 - Ashes). Galiano currently works as a translator and computational linguist in Barcelona. She also co-directs the podcast Droids & Druids and edits the science fiction and fantasy magazine of the same name.
She is the author of Proyecto Kétchup (Project Ketchup), a humor and horror novel that won the Ignotus Award 2023 for Best Novel.
